Prayer in a Time of Attack of Enemies
O Lord, our God, pre-existing before all ages and remaining forever;
who are as great in compassion as you are in uncontainable power;
who because of your ineffable mercy bowed the heavens, came down on earth and became man for the salvation of sinners;
who put on and immortalized our nature and ascended with it to the place from which you descended;
hear from heaven and become merciful to all those who cry out to you with a broken heart.
You, O Master of all, lend you ear and hear us.
We know your undefeatable love for your creation and your inexhaustible goodness.
Hence, we throw ourselves into the ocean of your compassions and entreat you:
turn not your face from us nor cast us away from your countenance neither hand us over to those who are so furiously attacking us.
Look upon us with your compassionate eye.
Show us how to rise above both the visible and invisible enemies.
Place in us a power from on high;
encompass us with your almighty right hand;
keep us under the protection of your wings;
fortify us with love for one another and grant us unshakable peace.
But before all and above all, instill in us your fear and your love that your holy name may also be glorified in us.
Upon you alone we look, on you alone we have placed our hopes, and to you we send up the glory,
together with your Father, who is without beginning, and the life-creating Spirit, now and ever and unto the ages of ages.  Amen.

Prayers in Time of Trouble
O God, our help and assistance Who is just and merciful, and Who hears the supplications of Your people, look down upon me.  Have mercy upon me and deliver me from the trouble that besets me.  Deal not with me after my sins, but according to Your bountiful mercies, for I am the work of Your hands and You know my weakness.
Grant me, I beseech You, Your divine helping grace, and endow me with patience and strength to endure my tribulations with complete submission to Your Will.  You know my misery and suffering and to You, my only hope and refuge, I flee for relief and comfort.  Trusting in Your infinite love and compassion, I know that in due time, when You know best, You will deliver me from this trouble and turn my distress into comfort.  I shall rejoice in Your mercy and exalt and praise Your Holy Name, of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, forever.  Amen.

Prayers for the Departed
Remember, O Lord, all who have fallen asleep in the hope of the resurrection and of eternal life, our fathers, mothers, brothers and sisters, Orthodox Christians who rest both here and in all other parts of the earth. Place them with Your saints, where the light of Your countenance shines, and have mercy upon us, for You are gracious and love all mankind.
Grant, O Lord, to all that have gone before us in faith and hope of the resurrection, remission of sins and keep them in everlasting memory. Amen.
In the place of Your rest, O Lord, where all Your saints repose, give rest to the souls of Your servants, for You alone are immortal.
O Virgin, alone pure and immaculate that in maiden-motherhood brought forth God, intercede for the salvation of the souls of your servants.
With the saints give rest, O Christ, to the souls of Your servants (names), where there is not pain, sorrow or sighing, but Life everlasting.  Amen.

A Prayer for Guidance and Peace
In all humility we pray to You and we entreat You, Who are the source of wisdom, bless and grant perfect health of mind and body unto our President and all leaders of our nation. Direct, O Lord, their thoughts to the way of truth, so that they may enact, order and enforce whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are just, tending toward all excellence and virtue. Enlighten them to govern our country with justice and to lead our people in the ways of Your righteousness. Send to us and to the whole world a just and lasting peace to the glory of Your holy name.  Amen.

A Prayer to the Theotokos
Make us worthy of compassion, O Theotokos, Who are a source of tenderness. Look upon a sinful people and manifest Your power as ever. For, hoping on You, we cry out aloud to You as Gabriel once did: Hail, chief among the bodiless powers; hail, You Who are full of Grace; hail, unwedded bride. Amen.

A Prayer to Your Guardian Angel
O Angel of Christ, holy guardian and protector of my soul and body, forgive me every transgression which I have committed this day and deliver me from every craft of my enemy and adversary. May I not anger my God by any sin. Pray for me to the Lord, His sinful and unworthy servant, that He may make me worthy of the grace of the All-Holy Trinity, and of the Most Blessed Theotokos, and of all the Saints. Amen.

A Prayer to Your Patron Saint
Pray unto God for me, O Holy Saint (Name), well-pleasing to God, for I turn unto You, who are the speedy helper and intercessor for my soul. Amen.

 The Jesus Prayer
Lord, Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner.  Amen.
